WINEMAKER NOTES
The Bandol wine region of France, located near the coast east of Marseille and Cassis, is one of Provences most internationally recognized wine regions and one of the very first to have its name registered as an appellation in 1941 as the wines from the region have been highly praised and sought after for centuries.
Bandol ross are very special. Their roundness and generosity make them different from other ros wines. Les Adrets is a fantastic example of Bandol Rose where Mourvdre, Grenache and Cinsault combine to give, by direct-pressing, a well-built, refined, pale-coloured wine with delicate salmon hues. It is medium to high intensity on the nose with distinctive notes of of roses, rosehips, and other floral and mineral aromas. In the mouth it is explosive in its crispness. The flavors follow the aromatic cues and is medium-plus body with flavors of rosehips and redcurrant supported by a steely undercarriage of minerality. As with most Bandol Roses enjoy it now with youthful freshness however, the high concentration of Mourvdre brings out typicity and encourages laying them down for a few years for further development.
