Winemaker Notes
Produced according to the "appassimento" method. After harvesting, the grapes are first dried for 4 months. Aged 24 months in new French barriques and then 8 months in bottles. The power-packed wine has dark yes almost black fruit and a nice balance between sweetness and tannins.
The aroma has hints of vanilla and the taste is very long with great fatness and nuances of dried fruit. A long living wine to be enjoyed by large glasses. Particularly suitable for heavy diets or just pleasure.
Classic amarone style, but a little cooler in its expression, as the fields are relatively high.
The Corte Alta winery is located in the hills of Fumane, within Valpolicella. It is a project that was born in 2008, where the oldest and most authentic traditions meet the desire to experiment, resulting in unique wines.
