Dalwhinnie has something for everyone! The variety combines peat and honey giving rise to a smokey tangent. Winters gold is made with spirits that are only distilled in the winter months, and it is even suggested that you try this whisky straight out of the freezers- where the fruits and spice flavors become even more apparent, 

Tasting Notes of Winters Gold: 

Nose: Very fruity- peach, apple, pear, even a dash of red current. 

Tongue: Honey tones with a strong appearances of winter spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. 

Finish: Allspice, nutmeg and smokey malt.
