Seasoned rum barrels, along with French and American oak, impart a dramatic effect on this concentrated blend of Merlot and Syrah and a small amount of Petite Sirah. Toasty, ripe, and plush, with plum preserves and fennel broadening on the palate. Port-like notes of vanilla-boysenberry create a latheredmouthfeel. The finish of sandalwood and baking spices lingers.
